## Constructing in 2 & 3 dimensions

## OVERVIEW

Students will be formally working with 3D shapes this half term; using language and properties of shapes to precisely describe and analysis cuboids, prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones and spheres. In addition to this students will look at the idea of a locus and learn how to the standard constructions are used solve related problems. Congruency is also explored to compare congruent figures of all kinds before looking at the formal aspect of identifying congruent triangles.
